The Business, Entrepreneurship & Franchise Expo set for September
A number of leading Southern African franchise brands will return to Southern Africa’s entrepreneurship and business expo in 2015, while a host of new exhibitors are signing up to participate in the enhanced Business, Entrepreneurship & Franchise Expo, hosted in partnership with Eskom.
The Business, Entrepreneurship & Franchise Expo (BEFE), the rebranded and evolved iteration of the highly popular Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo, will this year be staged as part of a comprehensive series of business, entrepreneurial, financial management, investment and property events under the umbrella: Secure Your Future Week.
At a successful launch event staged two weeks ago to give exhibitors a preview of what to expect at BEFE 2015, Brad Hook, Business Development Director at Thebe Reed Exhibitions, said that the expo is now co-located with the Investment and Property Expo to give BEFE exhibitors expanded reach into a broader audience, all of whom are seeking products and advice about all aspects of creating and earning money, investing it and preparing for a secure future. “There are clear synergies between the different expos – namely, entrepreneurial and business growth, building wealth and enabling visitors to secure their financial future,” he said.
This potential for increased impact has spurred new exhibitors such as the well-known Anat Falafel and Schwarma franchise to come aboard in 2015. BEFE 2015 will also welcome back leading brands such as Taste Food Franchising, who manage popular brands including:
After successfully exhibiting at BOFE 2014, Yolandi Ferreira of Taste Holdings noted: “We have been very busy. People want information about franchising, and we are able to advise them, which was one of our goals.”

BEFE 2015 will have over 8,200 entrepreneurs and business people, as well as over 1,500 students, many delegates from across Africa and hundreds of exhibitors, consultants and business development experts networked and concluded business at the event.

As the ‘ultimate boot camp for entrepreneurs’, BEFE 2015 is set to deliver more business opportunities and advice to a larger audience than ever before, says Hook. “Through its tactical entrepreneurial, franchise and e-commerce theatres, and Eskom’s entrepreneurship programmes, BEFE is taking a fresh and innovative approach to business and entrepreneurial progress and expansion, in line with the changing business and socio-economic landscape,” says Hook.
