Scooters Pizza opens second Windhoek store
Scooters Pizza has demonstrated its firm commitment to strategic expansion in the Southern African region with the opening of its second pizza outlet in Windhoek, Namibia, at the Bains Shopping Centre in Pioneers Park.
CEO of Taste Holdings Food Division, Christo Calitz, notes that the new store is expected to match the success of the first Scooters Pizza store opened in Windhoek in January 2011.
“The decision made to extend our business across the border into Windhoek late last year has already been vindicated through the first store’s success. Undoubtedly our second Windhoek store will produce similar results, and attract an array of new customers in this commercially viable area.”
Franchisee of the new Windhoek Pioneers Park store, Amen Sunday Nghidengwa, says that the new store will live up to Scooters Pizza’s highly regarded standards.
“The new store will further the value offered to Windhoek residents, by matching the service and reputation that Scooter’s Pizza is renowned for. As such, the store will provide customers with the hottest, tastiest and fastest pizza, accompanied by friendly and outstanding service.”
Nghidengwa, who also owns the other Scooters Pizza store in Windhoek, says that he has already realised much success in the first store, which is largely attributable to his extensive experience in the franchise industry. He adds that this experience will allow the second store to also be a preferred customer choice in Windhoek, through a combination of operational excellence and outstanding service delivery.
Calitz concludes that the time is ripe for food franchise growth in Namibia.
“Namibians are eager to have access to the convenience, efficiency and quality afforded to them by made-to-order meals. Therefore, the time is right to further our reach into Windhoek, and provide the fast food market with our fresh, dynamic and innovative approach to pizza and service.”
