Primi Piatti franchisee is loving the challenge
Location: Port Elizabeth
Franchise: Primi Piatti
Why did you go down the franchise route? And why did you choose Primi Piatti franchise?
I started working as a waiter and I loved the vibe, the energy and that Primi was one place where I could be my energetic self
What did you do before taking up your Primi Piatti franchise?
To be honest I checked if my parents where cool with it.
How did you raise the finance?
Bunmi, my partner is my hero, and he gave me that quick start to be where I am today
What training and support did you receive initially and ongoing?
The training at Primi never stops and I was one fortunate guy to be part of the Primi Dream Team at some stage and I learnt a lot there. Gavin, one of Primi’s directors, is also continually advising and leading me in the successful direction.
What is a typical day for you as a Primi Piatti franchisee?
I wake up between 8h00-10h00 daily and work up to 12 hours a day, being in the restaurant interacting with customers who eventually become my friends
What challenges have you faced?
I started fully managing a restaurant at 24 and managing older people was difficult but got used to it with time and the business sense did not come easy.
Has becoming a franchisee changed your life, if so how?
Was doing an engineering degree and had to changed to finance degree and it is paying off more than I would have ever imagined
What advice would you give to someone thinking of buying their first franchise?
Should you wish to go the franchise route, be prepared because if you are not prepared you are definitely heading for the doldrums of stress as one said “if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail?”
What are your plans for the future?
Grow the Primi in Port Elizabeth to be one of the best in the group for a long time.
Would you do it again?
