Why I chose franchising and Creative Minds franchise
Instead of starting up a business from scratch and reinventing the wheel, with no back up and support, I decided to research the franchise option and ultimately chose Creative Minds Computer Training. I became a part of a caring, professional family and team, which have provided me with fantastic support and service for the last seven years I have been with the franchise.
What I did before taking up my Creative Minds franchise
Prior to becoming a Creative Minds® franchisee I was an IT project manager specialising in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
How I raised the finance
I financed the franchise using my retirement fund which I received after 22 years of service with my previous company.
The training and support I receive from my franchisor
The training and support received from the franchisor is excellent, with continuous and on-going support on all levels. This has been excellent from day one and has continued to this day seven years later.
The challenges I have faced
The introduction of a new training brand into the established mix in my franchise area was a challenge. It was not easy to promote and market the brand, in order to create awareness to showcase our unique and extremely effective training methodology and the delivery thereof. It took a while for people to get familiar with the fact that we are better than the old school training available from everyone else.
My advice to someone thinking of buying their first franchise
Do some research on existing competition in your geographical area, and the demographics of that area. Choose a franchise whose product/service you have a passion for and where you have sufficient skills or expertise relating to that industry, or as in the case of Creative Minds®, you are sure you will be fully trained to a high standard.

I am committed to continue to market and grow the Creative Minds® brand and products and make it a household name.
