New Food Lover’s Market for Table View
The new Food Lover’s Market launches in Table View, Cape Town, today, 5 May 2010. Designed to offer something for everybody – foodies, families and singletons – the store takes its design cues from international retail trends in Europe and the US and other successful branches around South Africa.
In addition to stocking an extensive range of fresh fruit and vegetables, the store has in-store food departments, which cater to various tastes including a bakery with over 20 freshly baked artisan-style breads, an international cheese and deli section, a ÔÇÿfruit stop’ section offering the freshest juices, smoothies and fruit salads, plus a selection of essential non-perishable groceries. One of its most prominent features is its large and impressive gourmet butchery and biltong bar, which offers customers the opportunity to have A-grade meat cut and prepared to their specifications by expert blockmen.
ÔÇ£The success of the first Food Lover’s Market was a strong indication that consumers wanted an up-market retail experience that was still underpinned by the convenience, quality and value for money of the company’s offering,ÔÇØ says Brian Coppin, co-founder and MD of Fruit & Veg City.
ÔÇ£The company has served the Table View community for over 12 years and we’ve been inundated with customers’ requests to introduce a similar store serving the greater Table View area. We anticipate major success for this store based on the community’s ongoing loyalty, support and trust in the brand name,ÔÇØ says Coppin.
