FIRST Sherpa Kids Journey of Discovery Evenings hosted during April and May.
JOD workshops are presented to interested parties and reveal what Sherpa Kids has to offer, with particular focus on the business model in an informal Group setting.
Attendees from Botswana, East London, Sandton and Kempton Park amongst others, included a music teacher, a few lawyers, a retired school principal, a teacher, a couple of bankers and an economist, who had travelled from near and far, all with one common denominator – a dream to work with children and make a difference in their communities.
The Sherpa Kids team chatted about the basics of franchising, provided an overview of the Sherpa Kids model and gave a “live demo” from one of the holiday clubs. Workshops conclude with Q+A to focus on any matters needing clarity.
First International Show Stand (IFE)
Sherpa Kids South Africa exhibited at International Franchise Expo 2014 (8-10 Apr 2014) as a FASA (Franchise Association of South Africa) member. IFE has 20 years of history as the premier event for aspiring entrepreneurs to meet franchisors. The SK team met and consulted with over 150 excited, aspiring franchisees and 15 applicants for the “Win a Franchise” competition. Interest in and demand for child care business was evident in the number and level of people who visited Stand F5 at the Sandton Convention Centre. Sherpa Kids also sponsored “Sherpa Kids PlayZone” to provide a safe fun environment for children whilst their parents were at the show. Face Painting, Colouring-in and yummy popcorn were very popular and a definite hit.
