Skills: Entrepreneurial, customer centric, organised, financially astute.
Experience: None required, although having run a business or been in a managerial position is preferable. Having some experience in retail is preferred.
Personality Traits: Natural leader, meticulous about details, calm and proactive thinking, outgoing and energetic with an appreciation for good quality food.
Role of the ideal franchisee: The ideal franchisee is expected to be a hands-on business person who leads by example and who wants to be part of driving a very successful business venture. The franchisee will be responsible for generating sales at their own store whilst also being accountable as a team-player within the larger franchise network, respecting other franchisees, the brand and everything it stands for.
Retsol Group (“Retsol”) is a privately held franchising and retail company. Founded in 2002, Retsol has firmly established itself in the retail and franchising industry and continually evaluates investment and growth opportunities in the fresh food retail industry.
Retsol’s retail portfolio includes: Milky Lane (Food Franchising); Juicy Lucy (Food Franchising); Chicken King (Food Franchising); Advanced Dry-Cleaners (Company-owned Services Retail); Wola MTN (Company-owned Cellular Retail); Bread Ahead (Company Owned Food Retail).
From 2008 to 2010 Retsol re-structured at the shareholder level and divested of the above-mentioned brands either to third parties or to the senior management of the respective businesses.
In 2007 Retsol purchased the Corner Bakery trademark and business. Currently Retsol manages in excess of 500 bakery / fast food outlets, currently located exclusively within Engen service stations (Quick Shops) throughout sub-Saharan Africa but now extending its reach to standalone stores too.
