Cherry Melon was founded in 2005 by Tiggy Potgieter. When pregnant with her son she noticed a big gap in the market and embarked on developing a maternity wear brand that would be attractive to pregnant women, both in style and affordability. The clothing is designed and manufactured locally in Cape Town.
The Cherry Melon retail store in Canal Walk has been trading for over 4 years and proves to be a very exciting and profitable business. Customers travel far and wide to visit the Cherry Melon store, where they are guaranteed to find those ‘beautiful basics’, work wear, fashion styles, sleep wear, underwear, and more.
Having had repeated and continued requests for the Cherry Melon brand in other areas, Tiggy is now ready to open franchise stores around the country to service as many pregnant women as possible.
