Cartridge World launches in South Africa
The Cartridge World franchise opportunity has recently come to South Africa. Established in Australia since 1988, this company now trades through over 12 000 retail stores located in 34 different countries dotted around the globe. This makes it easily the world’s largest printer cartridge refilling company and their arrival in South Africa is indeed exciting news.
The master franchise rights for South Africa and other SADC states were awarded to local entrepreneur Russell Cohen, who operates from Cape Town. Russell has a background in IT and training, and before investing in the franchise, he did a lot of research.
Not content to investigate the product and its market potential, Russell also put the master franchisor under the spotlight. He was looking for a compatible approach to business, a meeting of minds if you will, which is one of the most important ingredients for a successful master franchise arrangement. After spending a few weeks with the people at Cartridge World head office, Russell knew that he had found what he was looking for.
With the market for computers and printers growing in leaps and bounds, Russell is extremely enthusiastic about the brand’s prospects in South Africa and expects to open about 60 stores within the next three years.
The winning team: Russell Cohen, master franchisee for Cartridge World, flanked by associates Omar Schettini, who is in charge of operations, and Brett Lovell-Green, who provides technical support to franchisees.
