Why did you go down the franchise route? And why did you choose Primi Piatti franchise?
I have always been impressed with the portion size, vibe and service at all the Primi stores, especially at the Gateway Shopping Centre in Durban. The opportunity to own a Primi Piatti franchise just could not be missed.

What did you do before taking up your Primi Piatti franchise?
I am an Architect and still run my own practise. I operate the franchise as an investor with highly competent managers and staff. The support from the franchisor has made the difference between success and failure.

How did you raise the finance?
I raised finance from my personal offers.

What training and support did you receive initially and ongoing?
No initial training as an investor but some serious on-going lessons. I have also learned a lot of corporate Primi Piatti design concepts and am currently assisting with the development of new design concepts.

What is a typical day for you as Primi Piatti franchisee?
My typical day includes checking on food quality, customer satisfaction and infrastructural demands.

What challenges have you faced?
Satisfying customer demands which may necessitate occasional changes.

Has becoming a franchisee changed your life, if so how?
A great deal by exposing me to the food industry, which is totally different from the building industry that I am familiar with.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of buying their first franchise?
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

What are your plans for the future?
To purchase two more Primi Piatti franchises

Would you do it again?
I am already in the process of doing it all over again, and again.
