What did you do before taking up a franchise?
Researched the Industry. Been in building for a while and no really good Waterproofing Companies around.
How did you raise the finance?
Took Money out an Allen Gray Investment – Pension money
What training and support did you receive initially and ongoing?
Ivan took me to various sites; Head Office gave training, that was excellent on how to run your business.
What is your typical day for you as a franchisee?
Get to work at 7h00, plan the day. Get vans out to site by 7h40, go make 5-8 Quality Calls by 12h30.
What challenges have you faced?
Early Bird catches the worm. Managing the time during the day properly.
Has becoming a franchisee changed your life, if so how?
I’ve always wanted to work in a business with my Wife. Wilcote has given me the Opportunity.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of buying their first franchise?
Make sure it is really something you want to do. You have to be an outdoors as well as indoors person. Be true to yourself.
What are your plans for the future
To grow the Wilcote Brand and create more business opportunities for everybody.
