About Us

Husse, founded in Sweden in 1987, offers a wide range of quality pet food products, supplements, accessories and hygiene products for both cats and dogs as well as supplements and care products for horses.

The Husse franchise concept is built on a system of Master Licensees and Franchisees; each one managing their own business and making their own profit. Through our network of over 40 Master Licensees, 350 Franchisees and 300 part-time distributors we operate throughout Europe as well as Mexico and Thailand.

Pet food – a reliable and rapidly expanding global market

As the number of households with pets is constantly increasing, the pet food market remains a fast growing and steady industry. Pet food businesses are not dependent on the fluctuations in the global economy. Pets don’t stop eating just because the stock markets go down and so sales keep increasing in high and low markets alike, which is great news for Husse franchisees.

The South African master franchise opportunity

As a Master Licensee for South Africa you will obtain the exclusive rights to use the Husse trademark, franchise system and product range throughout the country.

You will order your products straight from the factory at production price. The factory will prepare the pallets for you, though you will be responsible for transporting them to your warehouse.

You will need to set up an office, preferably next to your warehouse, as well as a show room where you will recruit and train franchisees from.

As a Master Licensee your objective will be to create a network of Franchisees; offering them the exclusive rights to trade under the Husse brand in their local area.

The Franchisees are usually responsible for an area of 20,000 dogs and cats (approx. 50,000 households), which could be a small town, village or area of a larger town/city.

The Franchisees picks up their orders from your warehouse for further distribution and they are responsible for their own stock management.

How we support you

From the head office in Stockholm we take care of the Husse brand, image, product development and support towards our Master Licensees. We also prepare the annual conferences where we have ongoing training in sales, nutrition, marketing, exchange experiences and new ideas.

As a Master Licensee we will offer you all the support you require to make your business a success including:

• Two day training in marketing, sales and administration
• Franchise operations manual which covers all areas of operating the franchise
• A starter pack consisting of a complete showroom of products, tent, marketing material etc to help with your recruitment and training of franchisees
• You will receive ongoing training in sales, marketing and administration as well as receiving educational materials.
• We will cover the cost of having your car branded with the Husse logo etc
• We will set you up with a complete back office system so you can organize all your orders, franchise accounts, reminders, customers etc
• You will receive and administrate your own Husse webshop linked from our main website www.husse.com.
• We will offer financial support when it comes to marketing
• You will receive and have constant access to our support as well as “know how” from the Husse Central Office in Stockholm
• You will have 30 days credit when purchasing products, so you don’t have to pay upfront
